Internal Sales Assistant

We are looking to appoint an Internal Sales Assistant who will be based in our Johannesburg Branch, reporting to the Branch Manager.

 

Working hours will be 08:30 – 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Office is based in Midrand, Gauteng.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining sales records
  • Prepare sales reports and presentations for internal and external use
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for the sales team
  • Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions
  • Provide product information, pricing, and availability to customers
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly
  • Process sales orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery to customers
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate order fulfilment and shipment
  • Assist the sales team with preparing quotes, proposals, and contracts for potential customers
  • Support the development and implementation of sales strategies and promotional campaigns

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Matric
  • Certificate or diploma in Business or Office Administration, Office Practice, or related field preferred
  • General knowledge of IT networking products
  • Excel – minimum Intermediate proficiency
  • 2-3 years’ proven experience in a sales support or administrative role, preferably in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Pastel
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a positive and proactive attitude
